Welcome Halliburton’s Bob Moran as New Co-Chair

Washington, DC – Today during the 15th annual USA*Engage luncheon, USA*Engage and the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC) honored Del Renigar, Senior Counsel for International Policy & Trade at General Electric, for his five years of dedicated service as USA*Engage Co-Chair. The groups also announced the appointment of USA*Engage’s new Co-Chair – Bob Moran, Vice President for Government Affairs at Halliburton.

“We greatly appreciate Del’s dedication and commitment to USA*Engage over these past five years. His contributions have been invaluable and we are thankful for his leadership, knowledge and wisdom on issues related to international engagement and U.S. sanctions policy,” said USA*Engage Director Richard Sawaya.

“We look forward to working closely with Bob in his new role as Co-Chair. As a long-time USA*Engage member and a seasoned and well-respected policy advocate here in Washington, Bob will help our continued focus on economic sanctions in the context of global trade and U.S. national interest,” said NFTC President and USA*Engage Co-Chair Bill Reinsch.

Today’s USA*Engage luncheon, which took place at the Willard Hotel, also included a strategic discussion on the role of economic sanctions during this critical moment in history, featuring Frank Jannuzi, Deputy Executive Director of Amnesty International, and Suzanne Maloney, Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution.
